Bungalow to Family Home Loft Conversion
The brief
Kevin and Sujeewa Gadd moved into their bungalow five years earlier and started a family, but delayed adding a floor. When they explored a traditional loft conversion, they were told they’d need to move out for ten months. Instead, they found Moduloft, and quickly recognised what an off-site modular build could offer.
What we did
We designed a complete new first floor for the bungalow, four bedrooms and a family bathroom, giving the Gadds a home to genuinely grow into, and freeing up the downstairs for family rooms and a play space for the children. Kevin and Sujeewa visited the factory during the build, choosing their own fixtures and fittings along the way, before the finished modules arrived on the back of wagons in December.
The result
A bungalow transformed into a real family home, with the space to grow into for years to come. The project was later featured in Homebuilding & Renovating magazine, real recognition that off-site building can genuinely transform a property, not just extend it.
