The brief
This St Martin home needed real family accommodation, not just one extra room. The brief called for three new rooms and two bathrooms, with rear juliet doors to make the most of the view and a proper hardwood staircase connecting the new floor to the rest of the house.
What we did
We designed and built the new floor off-site in our North Yorkshire factory, then shipped it over and craned it into place. The finished conversion added 88 sq/m across three new bedrooms and two bathrooms, lit by four catslide dormers and four roof windows, with rendered gables and a hardwood double kite staircase with closed risers. Rear juliet doors open the new floor out over the garden.
