Guernsey Loft Conversion, 2-Bed to 4-Bed with En-Suite

The brief
One of our very first projects on the island: this traditional two-bedroom bungalow needed to become a proper four-bedroom family home, with a new en-suite for the master bedroom and specific attention to the roof tile finish to match the character of the property.
What we did
We designed and built the new floor off-site in our North Yorkshire factory, then shipped it over and craned it into place. The finished conversion doubled the bedroom count, adding two double bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom in the new roof space, finished with a tailor-made tile design matched to the client’s brief.
The Results
Nearly a decade on, this remains one of our earliest Guernsey conversions, and one of the clearest examples of what off-site building solves for island homes: a bespoke roof tile finish matched exactly to the client’s brief, delivered without the months of scaffolding a traditional build would have needed on-island.
