The brief
This Follifoot home needed a large double bedroom with an open-plan gallery and sitting area, plus a shower room, built to match the approved planning drawings with a hipped-end roof to the front elevation.
What we did
We designed and built the new floor off-site in our North Yorkshire factory, then craned it into place. The finished conversion added 45 sq/m, a double bedroom with open-plan gallery and sitting area, and a shower room, lit by two dormer windows and three conservation-style Velux roof windows. The roof was finished in natural slate to match the character of the property, with an adjoining attic space converted for storage, complete with its own roof window, hatch access and loft ladder.
